Super Woman

After a meeting in which we learned about foster care and a really inspiring talk from Luis Rodriguez, I’m totally ready to solve the world’s problems. This how I figure it so far:

Step One: Give all of my clothing to foster teens in need
Step Two: Find new apartment with enough room for 4 foster children to live in
Step Three: Become foster parent
Step Four: Win Lottery
Step Five: Quit job so that I may focus on mentoring 24/7 – have at least 100 mentorees – perhaps I will need some sort of pyramid scheme for this to work
Step Six: Win Another Lottery
Step Seven: Open GIGANTIC awesome center in impoverished neighborhood offering free classes, rehearsal and performance spaces, and galleries
Step Eight: Die feeling as if I actually did something in this world

Seriously. I wish I had the time and the everything to do all of the things I feel socially bound to do. One thing I’m going to do for sure is hunt down a good volunteering opportunity. This is the first period in my adult life where I haven’t done volunteering of some sort and it feels weird.
