Driving by Northwest Film Forum yesterday after work I spotted The Cats of Mirikitani up on the billboard. I had no idea if it was a movie about cats or not, but I was excited at the prospect. I called Sky and asked him to find out what it was about and it turns out it was a movie he’d been wanting to see. So we saw it. It was fantastic, and not at all about cats. It’s not @ NFF anymore, but I bet you can find it on DVD soon.

After the movie we walked around and the topic of the perfect workplace came up. I thought it would be great to have a library staffed by cats. I would love to shout out “Mr. Fiddlepants? Can you fetch me that Vol II of the OED, please!” However, needless to say, that would be a big job for one cat and it may take awhile. Sky brought up the idea of having a swarm of cats that simply worked all together to get book from shelf to desk – kind of like they are doing now in design projects. I would just clap my hands twice and say “Kitty cats! Kitty cats! Vol II of the OED!” and they could work together to get the cart and put the book on it and get it over to the desk. Brilliant!
