Viewer’s Advisory
A guy just came to the desk asking for Fishing With John and The Last Waltz. He walked away with reserves on those two titles as well as copies of Grizzly Man, Prom Night in Kansas City, and Monterey Pop in his hand. I love movie geeking in the library, especially when it flips out patrons who think librarians only know about books.
Now that I think of it, I’m not sure how I let him get away without placing a hold on Down By Law as well!

May 24, 2007I love movie geeking at the ref desk!!!! It’s one of my all-time favorite things. Although I have to admit that I love pulling out stupid crazy movie trivia the best- like someone will be all “what’s that movie with the Empty Nest guy who tries to save a summer camp?” thinking that’s so hard, and I’m all “Easy! Meatballs TWO.” Why does this satisfy me? Don’t know, but it’s dee-licious.
