Ow!

Home sick – I’ve got the dizzy sort of cold/flu thing happening. I thought I’d be somewhat productive and once my cold medicine started working I did some laundry. While putting away some clean sheets, the dizzy came over me and I smacked my forehead into a shelf. I put some ice on it, gulped down some Ibuprofen, and now I’m back on the couch where I started.

I can’t wait to explain, over and over again to every patron or coworker who asks, why I have a rectangular shaped welt/bruise on my forehead. Poor Sky – you know 1 out of 10 people is going to think he hit me with a brick in a fit of rage. Which I actually find really amusing because I can’t really imagine him in a rage. Maybe if I’d have let his tomatoes die while he was on holiday this week? But they did not die – I watered all of his plants and they lived. He did not hit me with a brick. I pick him up from the airport tomorrow evening; I’m kind of giddy (or maybe that’s the head wound talking) — it feels like I haven’t seen him in forever.
