I HATE BEING SICK.

First I had my own cold, then Sky got one, and then I got his (that’s two colds) and now I’m recovering but I still feel like my head is 60% made of snot and I keep sneezing in the middle of sentences making patrons look askew at me like I have the plague. If I had the plague I would totally be living up my last days eating cheesecake and walking around looking at art in Europe – duh.

So the sick has been an issue. I feel like all I do is lie around reading feeling pathetic, which isn’t really true. In the past week Sky and I have gone on various Craigslist outings (which we plan to chronicle in a seperate blog, soon): we got a nice new felt-y rug, a part of a cabinet, investigated but rejected a malformed, free ping pong table, and two small white televisions from the 70s. Our place is getting cozier by the day.

Last night we went to Chop Suey to support our local awesome coffee cart owner, Kevin, at his comedy show, called Laff Hole. I had a good time. There was a girl comic there who kicked the butts of all of the male comics and that thrilled me. We drank hot toddies (again, those *&$#!%ing colds) and enjoyed the show until about 11pm. Wild night out for us, to be honest.

Tomorrow I have the day off, plus a massage, which is going to make it a wonderful day. I intend to do a lot of walking around and fresh-air-getting. We’ll see.
