T Minus 1 Day

I’m pretty excited about my coming 3 day weekend – I managed to snag a day off in the midst of the crazy Vacation Race of mid-summer and I’m going to go visit my sister and my parents. Yay!

I love solo road trips; I love them to pieces. Having company for a long drive is fun, don’t get me wrong, but there’s something about just me and the car and the iPod that makes for magic. Magic, I mean — Capitalized Magic. I love stopping at any Goodwill that catches my eye, singing along really loudly to my music, and subsisting soley on ring pops and soda.

I’m going to stay with my sister in PDX one night, then head down to the Oregon coast to stay with my parents long enough to get a massage (thank you mom, for becoming an LMT) and a few soaks in the hot tub. Also I will get to visit one of my favorite places, aptly named Devil’s Elbow:
