For now, I’m sifting through my email and trying to put my brain back into my day to day existance. Vacations rule, but sorting oneself back out once one is home is always a chore.

Walking around the City (which really must be capitalized) made my piggies hurt, even though I packed an array of comfy shoes. So of course I had to do some shopping. I came home with an awesome set of bright red nylon Nikes and one pair of neat recycled boots. I looked them up on Zappos just now because a coworker asked what they were made of – I was delighted to read that one of the features was “coconut buttons.” I don’t know why this is so charming, but it really is. It’s also really fun to say outloud. Maybe it will be one of my new exclaimations – “Coconut buttons!” – sounds good, right?
