Light Housekeeping

I fussed for hours last night with different variations on WordPress themes for this blog only to go back to this original that I’ve been using on and off for a few years. I’m so predictable.

We took 1082929022 photos during our vacation and I’m working on editing them and getting them uploaded. Until then, see some cute house pictures here (newer photos are at the end of the set).

For Valentine’s Day I think we’re going to go to Ballard to pick up some birds at a place called The Tweetery. Could that name be any more twee? I’m not a big bird fan – I like the way they look but most birds are too twitchy and beady eyed for my liking. That said, we saw a big antique bird cage FULL of finches down in Portland and they were pretty sweet. I’m not sure how the cats are going to cope with something so tempting out of the grasp. It’s going to be interesting!

Finches are the work of the Devil.

I hope you enjoyed that little peep-peep-peep sound you heard at the store–they NEVER stop making it.

peep peep peep peep peep peep peep peep ……

Luckily the place we were going to buy them at was closed – like out of business. I’ve since watched videos of finches and I’m pretty certain they would have driven me insane. We looked at doggies at the pound, instead :)
