Money has been flying out my wallet in the last week, but all for a good cause: the interestingness of my life, the quality of my happiness, the tune of my personal melody. I have a week forced furlough coming up, which means time off as well as a smaller paycheck. I’ve been saving so that I can do some fun things while I’m off. We’re going camping for a few days and then I’m going to jet down to SF to visit Jaime – hooray!
We also decided we absolutely needed to see the full Romeo & Juliet after catching an excerpted pas de deux @ the encore performance in 2008. Oh, and Rufus Wainwright playing at Benaroya Hall? That’s Sky’s Christmas present, just a month or two early.
We’re apartment hunting, which has been quite the thing. We want to start saving more money so we can buy a place. It was a hard choice to make since we love our little house so much, but we’ve done a lot with it – it’s time for someone else to love it.

August 20, 2009Have you seen the Royal Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet with Alessandra Ferri in it? I love that one, almost more than the Nureyev/Fonteyn version. Go rent it if you haven’t see it. Actually, not almost. I do love it more.
Perhaps I’ll see you at the PNB- I shall be in the nosebleeds.
