What condition my condition is in

My brain is too scattered for a proper post, so here’s a list(ish) approach:

• The City is way broke, so they are considering cutting hours at most of the library branches (this is where I state that I’m speaking as a private citizen and not an employee of the library): I’m seriously bummed about this, because people really need the library right now – reduced access to the library means reduced access to free computers and materials for the local community. Hopefully the public is understanding and most patrons will be able to get to the branches that are open 7 days a week. At least we didn’t have to go the total closure route, like the Free Library of Philidelphia.
• Roman Polanski. I don’t even know where to start with this one, except to say that the dude raped a 13 year old after giving her roofies. How do you even begin to boycott the jackass actors who signed that lame petition? What baffles me is the lack of celebrities debating about this – isn’t anyone besides Nellie Olsen and Chris Rock going to offer up a counter-popular opinion?
• The new apartment is great. It’s great great if we’re going to use Whoopi Lexicon. I spent all of yesterday unpacking the kitchen and bathroom. The best part was doing 4 loads of laundry in the basement laundry room like it was NO BIG DEAL. Goodbye, creepy laudromat filled with scuzzy dudes who sit too close and breathe loudly! Hello, cozy laundry room that I can visit in my slippers in between doing other stuff in my apartment. I love you.
• Tonight is Romeo et Juliette @ PNB. I’m very excited about seeing some sexy, good ballet. We’ve got fancy people seats since we’re going with Kathy.
• My parents got a dog. His name is Arlo (after Arlo Guthrie). I can’t wait to meet him.
• My sister and I are taking a sister vacation in a few weeks. I’m looking forward to relaxing and being sisterly somewhere away from our spouses and parents – we’ve never done it before!
