Cats are way more interesting than babies. Toddlers might give them a run for their money at least, but with babies it’s not even close.

I’m convinced that some people are natural posers and some are not. It has nothing to do with attractiveness. I am one of those people that CANNOT learn to pose, so I feel your pain. This entire post reminds me of when my husband was trying to take maternity photos of me. He must have taken 100 pictures and only, like, 3 of them were anything I’d ever want another person to see. He tried to coach me (he’s never been a model, but he’s watched America’s Next Top Model but it was utterly hopeless.

great post! you’re one of my heroes right now for taking on brave new scary things. i always worried that yr enthusiasm for greatness would be wasted if stifled at spl indefinitely. it’s hard to leave all the great stuff behind (like awesome coworkers, friends, etc), but know that youre giving us all hope and vicarious braveries!

My friend Julie thought that it was “Chester drawers” instead of a “chest of drawers” for much of her life – which makes a lot of sense if you’ve heard of Chippendale or other named furniture.

My 2 year old daughter’s alter ego is a cat named Lola. Not sure where she came up with the name, but it is an excellent one for a cat. I have been coerced into making up many songs about kitties named Lola, so if your cat ever needs to be serenaded, I am fully prepared.
